Special Guest Speaker: Michael Carbone
Michael T. Carbone is the owner and managing attorney of Carbone Law, a NYC-based law firm dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of the U.S. immigration system and advocating for crime victims seeking humanitarian relief. A graduate of Widener Commonwealth Law School (2012), Michael discovered his passion for immigration law during law school, where an immigration course sparked a lifelong commitment to helping people fulfill their dream of coming to America and building a better future for themselves and their families.
With over a decade of experience, Michael began his career practicing immigration law, focusing on deportation defense, asylum, and humanitarian relief for crime victims and victims of domestic violence. He briefly moved into banking compliance, seeking a reprieve from the emotional weight of guiding clients through some of the darkest chapters of their lives, but it didn’t take long before he returned to his true calling, founding Carbone Law in 2019 to continue serving immigrants with compassion and purpose.
In addition to managing his practice, Michael provides Continuing Legal Education (CLE) presentations on current and emerging immigration issues as well as small law firm management. He has led Know Your Rights trainings for both attorneys and clients, focusing on the constitutional protections afforded to citizens and non-citizens alike. Since 2021, Michael has leveraged his YouTube channel to demystify complex immigration law concepts, offering practical tips and insights to a broad audience.
Michael is also an active member of the New York City Bar Association (currently serving on the Small Law Firm Committee), the Richmond County Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
